Holy Pentacost, May 23, 2010

The Celebration of Holy Pentacost with a special celebration of the 35th Anniversary of our rector – the Reverand James R. Hiles, Ph.D.

In 1975, the parish called Rector Hiles under the encouragement of Bishop John Burgess, the first African-American Diocesan Bishop of the Episcopal Church.

Through the inspired interaction of the roles as pastor and teacher, Fr. Hiles had nourished the parish in distinctive ways responsive to the times.
